CHARLESTON, SC (June 9, 2008) – After three weeks on the shelves, locally-produced Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka became the number one selling flavored vodka in South Carolina, surpassing the ever-popular Van Gogh Espresso Vodka and all other flavored vodkas.
Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka is the second product created by Firefly. The vodka is made with five-time distilled muscadine grapes and infused with American tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation, located on Wadmalaw Island in South Carolina, which gives the vodka a sweet flavor and fresh taste. The initial efforts of introducing the product to Charlestonians garnered such a devout following that marked an impending success for the product when it was released statewide.
